Buildings in the Netherlands are the largest pollutersBart van der Voorn
You may not be expecting this but offices, shops and houses are the largest polluters in our country. Figures from the Energieonderzoek Centrum Nederland show that there are 8 million buildings in the Netherlands and that these are responsible for 36 percent of the all CO2 emissions of the country. Half of this figure comes from office buildings.
In order to be able to achieve the energy goals in the Netherlands it has been agreed that buildings should save 20% on energy by 2020. Pressure is increasing on the real estate business to improve the durability of their buildings. Simaxx play an important part in achieving this goal. By using the platform in office building a significant reduction of CO2 emission can already be achieved.
